No shocking result in a game when first rankedPollitas (5-2) defeated on the road 8th ranked Caguas (2-4) 85-79 on Tuesday. Isabela dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Caguas ' 34. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Lasha Petree (183, college: Purdue) who added 23 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Isabela maintains first position with 5-2 record. Newly promoted Caguas dropped to the ninth place with four games lost.
